Troubleshooting

Fix sign-in, workspace and connection problems between your AI app and UniFeeds.

Signing in

The sign-in window doesn't open, or nothing happens after you click Allow

Some apps open it only the first time they use UniFeeds, so ask the app to use UniFeeds, or select Connect again. If your browser blocks pop-ups, allow them for the app. After you click Allow, go back to the app: it finishes connecting on its own. If a terminal app runs on another computer than your browser, follow that app's guide.

The app says its client is unknown or invalid (invalid_client)

UniFeeds no longer knows the app's saved sign-in, for example after a long time without use. Remove UniFeeds from the app, add it again with the same server URL, and sign in.

The AI is connected to the wrong workspace

Ask your AI app this, and it names the workspace it reached:

Prompt
Use the UniFeeds whoami tool and tell me which workspace you're connected to and whether you can make changes.

If it's the wrong one, sign in again from the app. The sign-in page lists every workspace you're in, so pick the right one. Then disconnect the old one under Connected apps. An API key always works in the workspace it was made in, so use a key made in the right one.

The AI says it can only read, or can't make changes

Any workspace member can connect an AI app to read, but only workspace admins can let it make changes. If you're an admin, sign in again from the app and tick the option to allow changes. If you're a member, ask a workspace admin. Using an API key? Ask an admin for a read and write key.

The app says you're signed out

A sign-in ends after 30 days without use, when someone disconnects the app under Connected apps, or when you leave the workspace. Connect again from the app. The app may show "This UniFeeds sign-in or API key has expired or was removed."

Your AI app

Each guide has a Troubleshooting section for problems that only happen in that app:

Using UniFeeds

A post failed on a social platform

That's a problem with the social account, not the AI app. Read the reason with the AI app or in All posts, reconnect the account if it asks you to, then retry the post.

A tool fails with RATE_LIMITED

Each sign-in or API key can make 30 calls a minute that publish, schedule, retry, add media or reach a platform. Wait a minute, then retry with the same requestId.

The app gets a 429 Too many requests

Each sign-in or API key can send up to 120 requests a minute, and connect up to 20 times a minute. Wait for the time in the Retry-After header (one minute), then try again. Most apps do this on their own.

An API key gets a 401

The header must read Authorization: Bearer ufk_…. The key may have expired or been revoked. Keys also stop working when the admin who made them leaves the workspace or becomes a member. Ask a workspace admin for a new key.

A browser tool gets a 403: This origin is not allowed to access the MCP endpoint

UniFeeds only answers browser requests from UniFeeds, claude.ai and chatgpt.com. Terminal apps and servers send no origin, so they aren't affected. Use one of the supported apps, or call UniFeeds from a server.

UniFeeds can't check your sign-in right now (503)

Something on our side is briefly unavailable. Wait a minute and try again. If it keeps happening, email us.
